Hello, fellow capsuleers. My name is Redline XIII and I am pissed off. This year’s CSM is an absolute joke. It’s filled to the brim with deplorable individuals, do-nothing blocheads and people that don’t have our best interest at heart or, at the very least, don’t have the time to answer our DMs when we ask them about it.
That’s why I’m running for CSM next year, and I will not stop until my agenda is brought to bear.
My first priority, when elected to the CSM, will be to drain the swamp and smash the establishment that has for too long gotten used to maintaining the status quo. Recently, we saw Pandemic Horde and the entire PanFam coalition shatter completely. Why? Boredom. Their biggest enemies in the Imperium wouldn’t attack. Instead, they spent their time trolling the entire region, burning out the members of Horde’s logistics team who just simply couldn’t do it anymore.
Why was this allowed to happen? Because the CSM hasn’t been strong enough pushing CCP to create more meaningful ways for us to engage with eachother in combat. Sure, we’ve been given new things like Metenox Moon Drills but, where they create massive fights in low-security space, they create nothing but headaches in null.
Once this crop of paper tigers has been put to pasture, we can approach CCP with a new dynamic, one where the silent majority of players who have left the game due to the status quo or who are on their way out, can know that someone is in their corner, fighting to keep them here with more engaging ways to play our favorite spaceship video game.
My next priority, and arguably the most important, is to help create more meaningful ways for pilots to engage in the space they own and greatly increase the rewards that are earned for doing so. When CCP nerfed supercapitals into the ground, we saw them disappear from space. I want to bring them back. I want to help CCP create super and capital specific sites that encourage pilots to use their biggest assets and reward them handsomely for doing so. I want to bring back hunting parties and cloaky camping, giving smaller groups a way to impact the larger ones without just adding more members.
I also want to diversify the way we engage with sovereignty as far as maintaining and capturing it is concerned, using mechanics that already exist within the game, just using them more smartly. There is no reason to put 2,000 people on the same grid for a sovereignty hub timer. Citadels have become boring and telegraphed. They need an overhaul and fast. We also need great changes to projection that encourage and allow small groups to incur into null sec space without degrading the use of that space for its inhabitants.
My final priority is more of a promise. It is to the ones who have quit the game but still inhabit the Discords dedicated to it, or post on reddit about the dealings of people who have not yet left. I am calling on you to give this game a chance when I am elected to the CSM. Subscribe to the game. Vote for me. I will be a voice for you where you have felt unheard and I will make CCP listen to our concerns and make actionable progress towards addressing them.
Not only will I hold CCP accountable but I will hold the rest of the CSM who has failed you accountable. Together, we will work towards a future for EVE Online where people who have left come back in droves because their favorite activities are fun again. Because people are active in space and doing things at levels not seen since before the blackout.
I truly love this video game and the people who play it. That’s why I have been interacting with them in various ways over the last 7 years and I intend to do so for many more years to come. I have spent too long watching the CSM representatives that are supposed to have our backs just watch as CCP tears apart our economy, inflates the price of our ships and maintains a status quo that sees our entire way of life falling apart.
It’s time to fight for nullsec. It’s time to bring our pilots home. It’s time to make a red line in the sand, and never cross it.
I’m starting my campaign now because I want to spend the next year showing the current CSM and CCP just how many people resonate with my ideas and my messaging. That’s why it’s important that, if you are one of the people who resonates with our campaign, you sign the pledge to vote for me next year. We can show them how strong we are and show them that we are coming.
Over the next year, I will be writing posts on this website detailing my ideas for how to fix problems that are brought up to me or have been stuck in my mind for a time. I have also made a questions and answers page where anyone can ask me questions about my campaign, posts I’ve written, among other things. Comments will be open on each post as well to create a healthy discourse among everyone. I ask that you be respectful in the comment section and make sure you sign up for new post updates.
